Week 12

 Hello Everyone

As we get closer to the end of the semester I find myself feeling sad that this experience is going to be over. For this past week I have gone back to reviewing documents specifically transcripts, Abstracts and AvLogs. After the editing process for the last transcription I did I figured there would be more for me to fix; alas that seems to not be the issue. Most of the remaining files I have really are in the best state they can be in with minimal to no edits needed. I have about two more transcripts I need to review just to make sure I am keeping the most up to date version other than that, I have started the process of moving missing release form folders into a "Unfinished Interviews" folder. Release forms are one of the most important documents we could have and without that there is no moving forward with the archival process. I have an equal amount of folders that leave me feeling like I have half that are missing everything and half that are perfect and all documents have been accounted for. I will do my best with what I have left till the end of the semester.

If there is one thing this internship has continued to teach me, is that attention to detail and always being flexible to changes is the most important tool we have. Without those lessons things can just slip through the cracks or they are left for another unsuspecting person to take care of. Double and triple checking has become my second nature, but all of these lessons are skills I can carry with me to my professional career. With our showcase speeding around the corner I have begun to reflect on my time with VHP and the work i've done. For the Showcase I plan on talking about the tasks i've done and what I have learned here, it's kind if hard to pick and choose seeing as though we only get one slide per person but I have learned so much from this internship and will cherish all the lessons learned during this time. It is my hope to return to VHP to continue my work.

Until Next Time!
